1. Choosing your Celebrant
Finding and choosing the right celebrant for you is one of the most important choices you are going to make for your special day- after all, we are the people who are going to be listening to and sharing your story as a couple. The key to finding the right celebrant is to find someone that gels with you as a couple. Usually a quick ''get-to-know-you' phone call or catch up will give both myself and you the best idea if I am the right fit for you. If I happen to be unavailable or am not the right celebrant for you, I am always happy to recommend you to one of my awesome celebrant friends.

2. You want me to be your celebrant...well hip, hip, hooray!
I am so stoked and excited that you have chosen me to be your celebrant...now lets get this planning process started! Once you confirm your wedding date/venue with me I will send you an email with some documents and an invoice to sign. I then require a 10% deposit of the total fee to officially lock in the date, then the remaining fee can be paid up to 1 week out from your wedding.

3. Meeting 1: Completing the NOIM
So if you're wondering 'what on earth in a NOIM?' well...your NOIM is your Notice of Intent to Marry. It is the first bit of legal paperwork that you will need to sign in my presence. We will need to arrange a convenient time to meet up and sign this document - a NOIM is valid for 18 months and needs to be signed no later than 1 month prior to the wedding. For example- if you're getting married on 08/08/2022, we will need to sign this document in between 08/01/21 and 08/07/22. I will require a few identity documents and details at this meeting and both your signatures (or autographs is you want to get fancy haha!)
If you wanted some more information about what the NOIM is all about you can download a copy of it below-

4. Meeting 2: Designing your ceremony
Now we are getting to the fun part! This meeting is typically done over Zoom and it is where we get to start designing and planning your ceremony script. We will go over all of the things you want to include, the legal aspects you have to include and the particular moments you may not want to include in your ceremony. I will ask you a few questions about how you met, how you got engaged etc. and from there I will begin the process of writing your ceremony script.
If you wish to write vows for each other, I am able to provide either:
A) Examples of vows that you can read verbatim (word for word)
B) A prompt sheet filled with questions that help you to piece together/write you own vows
C) One-on-one support writing personalised vows for you lover if you are struggling to put your feelings/promises down on the page

5. 7 days before
One week before your wedding I will send you a draft copy of your ceremony script to read, revise and send back to me. This is when you should aim to have your personalised vows written for each other too (if you are choosing to write vows for each other). I'll be asking you for a copy of your vows so that I can hand them to you on the day rather than someone pulling a crumpled bit of paper out of a suit jacket, pocket or handbag haha. One week prior to the wedding is also when the final payment is due.
